On Feb 7, we had a school picnic to an amusement park called Tikuji-ni-wadi. It was gr8 fun...we went on rides like 360 Degrees (which revolves & rotates 360 degrees at the same time...whewww!!!), Swinging Chairs (lots of fun!!), Ferris Wheel, Dragon Boat et cetera.
For the 360 Degrees, we had to wait in line for a whole hour, bearing a lot of squishiness and violence the whole while. My friend D & I even got into a huge fight with a 7th standard kid, who was being really annoying and abusive. We gave him a piece of ourselves, and that shut him up all right! Wimp.
We got back at around 4:30 in the evening.
On Feb 8, D and me had to go to another school for an interschool event. The theme of the event was 'JRD Tata - a visionary, a pioneer'. Schools like AVM Juhu, AVM Bandra East, Learner's Academy, Lilavati Poddar, Jasudben M.L. et cetera, participated.
There were many segments in the event, like creative collage (which D & I went for), cooking, quiz competition, Euro-beat (any form of European dance), skit. For the creative collage- we had to make a collage on JRD Tata's aviation, in cooking- a healthy breakfast, for Euro-beat - a dance presentation on any form of European dance, and for the skit, the hosting school (AVM Bandra West) put up a long play based on JRD Tata's life.
D & I made a very pretty collage, with the slogan 'Tata Aviation - Spirit of the Skies'. We presented it on stage in front of everyone, and all the 9th standard people who had come with us, cheered for us very loudly. We were soo happy!!!
We were sent with the notion that it's a competition, and were quite sure we'd win. But it turned out in the end that it was just a friendly event, and the only 'prizes' were a trophy (to be kept by the school), and a participation apprecation certficate for each of the participants. We were pretty disappointed that we missed a day of school for nothing.
Anyway, I'll move on to something more cheerful. Our little entourage - the Rock Angels - are thinking of being part of a join-groups venture with about 4-5 other entourages of both sexes. So if it all works out, we'll be roughly 40 of us!! How cool is that!!!
The advantages of this are:
1) We will never be friendless/lonely next year in class, no matter who we end up with.
2) Our chances of snagging a post in the student council next year will be quite high.
3) We will become super-popular.
4) We will all make tons of new friends & get to know many people.
5) Crushes will be flying left and right with such a huge friend circle.
WHEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
